ILLIG placed its focus on clean production with increased machine availability at y2016. This is how the machine manufacturer selectively responds to market demands and iLl kconsistently pursues the strategy of increased productivity in thermoforming. It is the intent toptimize the thermoformer's quality time, reduce planned standstill times and minimize scrap boclean production.
High utilization of machines for clean manufacturing processes
With extensive experience in the field of hygiene in molding, filling and sealing lines (FFS lines), ILLIG has translated clean technology from the production process into its thermoforming machines, while improving machine utilization.
ILLIG calls this concept Cleantivity, derived from the terms "Cleanliness" and "Productivity." Our goal is to extend the working time, the running time, that is, the high quality production time of the thermoforming machine, to achieve high production line output of high quality products
Quality depends on the details and can be calculated
Manufacturers of packaging machines and production lines implement DIN 8743 mechanical standards to establish and optimize the operational data and behavior (performance) of their systems. Therefore, the inherent and non-inherent time loss of the system should be considered. Such as unused production time of machines, planned and unexpected downtime, and time lost due to reduced production and scrap. In order to extend the quality production time, the above lost time must be reduced, resulting in higher production line output and faster production of high-quality products.
Quality time
The two most important variables are machine utilization and the cleanliness of the production process. ILLIG succeeded in taking the biggest steps to optimize its machines,It is to increase utilization (productivity). The factors that can improve system production are as follows: stable mold replacement concept, preventive maintenance measures, test plan, central visualization of diagnostic functions, inspection and maintenance related working parameters, and "LLIG intelligent control production lines can be integrated into ILLIG NetService to complete these measures."
One step closer to a longer, high-quality production time
In addition to utilization, the cleanliness of the production process is also an important indicator of extending high-quality production time.
The standard has met the sanitary requirements in terms of machine design, achieving the highest daily standard, namely the cleanliness of surfaces in direct contact with the packaged material and surfaces not in direct contact with the packaged material. Using Cleantivity technology, ILIG translates cleanliness requirements into a thermoforming process. The cleanly formed parts reduce the amount of scrap, thereby increasing the machine's quality production time. The contamination analysis of the thermoforming process identified key contamination points that ILLIG used its expertise to eliminate.
Material handling
ILLIG simplifies the design of material handling units. The shape of the profile is optimized to reduce the tear of wear (which produces wear impurities). Heat and corrosion resistant heater box made of paint-free stainless steel. Easy to clean, improve the cleanliness from the beginning of material delivery.
A new and better puncture method helps prevent material particles from being produced during puncture marking; These particles could contaminate parts.
The cooling unit is integrated into the material delivery system and cooled as needed, preventing loss of cooling performance.
Selective supply of human lubricant at the relevant lubricant port: thus optimizing the amount of lubricant. Reduced cleaning and maintenance due to improved material handling devices.
